To say that 2022 has been Transformational for me is barely scratching the Surface. So much has happened in the best of ways, and my trip with my mom to Sedona really kicked things into high gear for me. This trip was a gift, given to us by my Dad for Christmas, and I really want to thank him for this. That being said, I am so excited to share my trip with you, my favorite places to eat, and places to go. Let’s dive in!
Day 1
My mom and I packed up the car, and headed on our way! It was about a 4 hour drive from where we live, to get to Sedona. The drive was beautiful and my mom and I had some lovely conversation along the way. Honestly, this was one of my favorite parts of the trip. I love talking with my mom.
Once we got into the surrounding area leading into Sedona, I pulled out my mom’s Canon EOS 60D and completely lost myself in taking pictures out the window. I one-hundred percent looked like a total tourist sticking my head and camera out the window. It was amazing because I didn’t care at all, I was just so enamored with the beautiful sculptures created by Source. I found it interesting, how captivating these massive boulders and red mountains were. It reminded me a little bit of Zion, Utah, but in a very different way. The colors and landscape had some similarities but the energy was vastly different.
Intuitive Wellness Center (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
My mom had booked us an appointment at the Intuitive Wellness Center for a 45-Minute Whole Body Detox Foot Bath + Crystal Energized Water Therapy Session. We opted to leave a little later in the morning and go directly to our appointment before checking into our room. Anyalys, the owner of the Wellness Center, greeted us with light and a smile before our session.
Here is what the Detox consists of:
“Relax in a spa-like, private room with aromatherapy and sound therapy while your body receives the benefits of a detox designed to release toxins through your feet by way of cutting-edge technology and Himalayan salts. Before your detox foot bath you can expect to be energized by our exclusive crystal blends of water therapy to keep you hydrated & after enjoy a hot cup tea. Total foot bath treatment time is 36 minutes w/ a total appt time of 60 min or 2 full water cycles.”
For my session I chose a blend of citrus oils for my aromatherapy, and some vanilla lotion for after. (My mom went all in on vanilla oil and lotion.) This detox was absolutely incredible and I really enjoyed the experience.
Anyalys made us some Pomegranate Detox Tea, and shared some of her art with us after our detox sessions were over. She also discussed what the colors of our water meant and a good regimen for the remainder of the day. She also gave us a lovely recommendation for a crystal shop and a place for lunch. We opted to take her advice and go to both!
Crystal Magic (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
Our first stop was Crystal Magic. This shop is actually in two buildings, with one being the main store with anything and everything mystical that you can imagine, and the other building is the Crystal Magic Psychic Center. This building has card readings, aura readings, and other offerings from a variety of different mystics. Mom and I made a note to come back tomorrow for Aura Photos, since they had a special going on. I walked out of the other shop with a handful of new crystal beauties, books, and things that smell good. My husband will tell you my favorite things to buy are books, rocks, comfy blankets, and candles… he’s not wrong. Although I didn’t buy a blanket, at least not at this store.
ChocolaTree (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
Both my mom and were starting to get hungry, so we headed off in search of ChocolaTree. When we pulled into the parking lot, I noticed that all of the parking spaces had these really sweet signs, and all of them were different. Ours said “Park here if you Appreciate this Beautiful Earth.” How can you not be excited to go into a place that has signs like this for their customers?! I was stoked!
The menu at ChocolaTree is Vegan and Vegetarian, and has a large selection of different foods. The vibe is cute, quirky, and spiritual. We opted to sit in the garden to eat, under a large tree. The garden and courtyard is colorfully decorated with a variety of spiritual and religious artifacts and banners.
Here is what we ordered between the two of us (we ordered extra to eat in our room):
- Pachamama Latte
- Green Juice
- Thai Quinoa Salad
- Margherita Pizza
- Quesadilla
- Chocolate Avocado Pudding
Everything was delicious and filling. Here is what ChocolaTree says about their menu:
ChocolaTree Each ChocolaTree dish is created using 100% organic, vibrant foods, gluten-free & entirely home made
We do this because the health and vitality of the Earth and all of Her creatures is very important to us. It is for this reason that we create each dish in celebration for this divine experience in gratitude for Earth’s abundant gifts made possible by each element: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Spirit.
Would I eat there again? Absolutely.
Villas at Poco Diablo (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
We brought our leftovers to our room after we checked in and unloaded into our new home for the next few days in the Villas at Poco Diablo. To say our Villa was cool is a total understatement. It was cozy yet spacious, and perfect for our stay. The room had a fireplace, kitchenette, large jacuzzi tub, large television (that we didn’t even turn on once!) and a sliding glass door that opened up to the most beautiful view. Once we were finished unpacking, we headed outside to take photos during the golden hour. My mother loves taking photos, and her work is all over my website. Photos taken on Canon EOS 60D with Canon 18-200mm and Canon 75-300mm lenses.
We had so much fun taking pictures and spending time in nature together. It was a lovely way to wind down at the end of the day. Dinner was ChocolaTree leftovers (still just as delicious). We ended the day by listening to music, working with the tarot and oracle cards I brought, and of course visiting and dreaming up magic for day 2.
