To say that 2022 has been Transformational for me is barely scratching the Surface. So much has happened in the best of ways, and my trip with my mom to Sedona really kicked things into high gear for me. This trip was a gift, given to us by my Dad for Christmas, and I really want to thank him for this. That being said, I am so excited to share my trip with you, my favorite places to eat, and places to go. Let’s dive in to part 2 of this four part blog series!

Day 2

The sun climbed up over the horizon, as I greeted my morning with some sun salutations, meditation and journaling. Both my mom and I slept in as long as we could, but woke up with tons of energy to burn. We got dressed and headed out to get some breakfast.

The Secret Garden Cafe (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

When we were driving around the day before, I spotted a place I wanted to try called The Secret Garden Cafe. This place is so fun, and surrounded by beautiful plants. We had our breakfast “outside” in the covered/enclosed patio. It was great because there were plenty of space heaters to keep us toasty in the crisp morning air.

Here is what we ordered:

  • Mom ordered the Garden’s Breakfast with a Coffee
  • I got the Croissant Sandwich, and an Earl Grey tea.

When I say that this is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever eaten, I am not exaggerating. It was freaking delicious and I wish I had ordered 15 to go, so I could stick them in the freezer. I would absolutely eat here again, and plan to for our next Mother-Daughter trip to Sedona.

Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

Once we had finished our breakfast, we walked around the square and peeked into some of the shops that were opening. I gave the shopping village 4 stars not because it wasn't fantastic, but because the shops and boutiques didn't really have a range of price points. Everything was beautiful and many items were handcrafted.

John Farris Visionary Arts (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

After a mini adventure in Tlaquepaque, we headed uptown to meet up with our friend John Farris to connect and to chat about the custom jewelry he is creating for my upcoming film, (based on the book I wrote) The Christmas Witch.

He describes his work as:

"Created with Divine Intention…Increasing Vitality, Magnifying your Magnificence, and Grounding Harmony and Peace within Your Being."

We visited and chatted for a while, exchanging stories and talking a bit about the significance of The Amberlight Stone to the plot of The Christmas Witch. This was so much fun as we perused some of the creations John had already completed.

His work is incredible, and I am so beyond thrilled to highlight and showcase his work in my film and online. I cannot wait to see what he dreams up for the movie. Once we all felt complete, we exchanged hugs and moved our car to a parking lot that was a bit closer to where we wanted to go.

The rest of the morning was spent strolling around Uptown and peeking into random shops. Most of the stores we went into were much of the same, but I did find a few items I couldn’t live without. One of them is a 4096 hz Tuning Fork, that I use every day in my home. I love it so much!

Crystal Magic Psychic Center (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

Soon we found ourselves back at Crystal Magic Psychic Center, for our Aura Readings. It was such a fun experience, although I’m not really sure how it all works. After we finished with those, I had Emaye do my card reading and it was fantastic.

Everything in my 20 Minute Reading was so on point and was a massive confirmation on everything I had set in place. It was an especially powerful reading for me, and the reason you are reading this post! If you’ve never had your cards read on the New Moon, I highly recommend it. I would absolutely choose Emaye to read for me again.

Next, we drove back to the Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village, to check out the places that weren’t open when we got there earlier in the day. We skipped lunch and opted to try a fun Chai place called The Chai Spot, and found a sweet used book store. Naturally, I had to go in. I left with some Oracle Cards that were singing to me in the store, and a book. We took photos all around Tlaquepaque and found where we were going to have dinner… El Rincon.

El Rincon Restaurant (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

This Restaurant has such a beautiful vibe, with the outdoor space providing a sense of serenity as you are surrounded by climbing ivy and large trees.

Here is what El Rincon has to say about their Restaurant:

“Nestled in the splendor of Tlaquepaque, El Rincon offers Sedona’s finest “Arizona Style” Mexican cuisine. A blending of traditional Mexican with Native American Navajo influences provides the basis for “Arizona Style” Mexican cuisine. Created by Gloria, Demetri, Candyce and Cindy in 1976, El Rincon is Sedona’s most recommended and visited restaurant. Serving over 3 million guests, El Rincon is a landmark within a landmark.”

The food here was delicious, and we took home leftovers to enjoy later. We would definitely dine here again!

On the way back to the car, we stopped in at Sedona Cake Couture. If you have heard of it, it is probably because it has been featured on Ultimate Cake Off, Halloween Wars, and Food Network. I had to get myself a Cactus Cupcake. I just couldn’t get over how adorable they were! I ate some of it for dessert later that night and finished it the next day. #noshame

New Moon Magick

Once we finished our dinner, we headed “home” to our Villa for some New Moon fun. My mom and I put on some music and started writing down our intentions. Then, we shared them with each other out loud and burned them. My mom and I had been talking about doing a Creative Summit, and talk about plans, growth, etc.

It was absolutely wonderful, and made us realize that we are going to do this every year. After our beautiful brainstorm, we did a couple card readings and then… I got straight to work on building the website you see now. Before turning in for the night, we went out into the grass and looked up at the stars. The sky was absolutely magical.
