Amberlight Valley Favorites: White Mountain Books

Nestled right in the heart of Show Low, White Mountain Books is one of my favorite places to wander when I need to recharge, dream, or simply lose track of time.
I had the loveliest afternoon here with my friend Charlotte, wandering between the shelves, and snapping some of my favorite new author photos!

This is no ordinary shop—it’s the White Mountains’ premier used bookstore, offering thousands of titles across every genre: fiction, non-fiction, romance, history, westerns, religion, and more. They buy, sell, and trade, which means the shelves are always shifting and surprising you with hidden gems.
If you’re searching for something in particular, the staff can help you track it down… and if it’s not in stock, they’ll happily custom order it for pickup or shipping. Beyond books, you’ll also find a charming selection of vintage rings, bookmarks, journals, cards, and more—the perfect little extras to add to your reading ritual.
